Our Process
Please note there is a $250 minimum for custom pieces.
1. GETTING STARTED
Reach out via email or our contact form. We'll respond within a few business days to discuss the details: your timeline, budget, occasion, preferred materials, hopes & dreams... bring any and all ideas you have to share.
2. DEPOSIT
Once we've figured out the design & details, AKJ will collect a $100 deposit, which counts toward the final cost of the piece.
3. PRODUCTION
Once we've received your deposit, we’ll start working on your piece and keep you updated along the way. Production typically takes 1-3 weeks (though if we’re especially busy, it may take a little longer).
4. APPROVAL & FINAL PAYMENT
We’ll send you photos once your piece is finished. Once we know you’re satisfied, we’ll send an invoice for the remainder of the total cost.
5. DELIVERY
If you're local, we offer pickup options. Otherwise, we'll send your piece via mail with insurance and tracking information. Read our shipping policy here.

HORSE TOOTH PENDANTS
Molly Kate wanted to honor her love for her horse by making their teeth wearable, framed in sterling silver jewelry. We used our lapidary techniques to cut the teeth into “stones” that became the focal point of this matching set.

SOUVENIR RING
Nicholas found this rock while traveling out west and wanted to create a permanent souvenir from his travels. The rock was cut down and polished using our lapidary equipment. We then set it in a fully hand fabricated ring, allowing him to travel with a physical object tied to a memory.
SHARK TOOTH PENDANT
This tooth was cast in house with 14k gold using an actual shark tooth our client hand collected at the beach in Florida. She also provided the diamond from a pair of earrings that were sitting unworn in her jewelry box.
GRANDFATHER'S RING
This piece was transformed into a ring that was more Jamie. The original ring was his grandfathers, but it was way too big and not in Jamie's style. So we melted it down, using all of the original materials to create something new.
