Panther Creek Ring

This ring was handmade by Allie using a self-collected/cut carnelian agate and sterling silver. 

This particular stone was found on a road cut in eastern Oregon a bit outside of Eugene. Road cuts are great spots to find agates, carnelians, jaspers, as the host rock in which they form is exposed, sometimes revealing beautiful gemstones. Carnelian agate is known for its deep redish brown to light orange/yellow colors, which are a result of iron oxide impurities.
