Blue Clay Intaglio Ring

This ring was handmade by Allie using a vintage, blue clay intaglio and sterling silver.

Intaglios are incised carvings in stone, shell and other hard material often times depicting a profile of a face. They were primarily used to stamp into softer material like wax or clay to leave an impression of the carving.
