Badger Creek Petrified Wood Ring

This ring was handmade by Allie using self collected and cut petrified wood and sterling silver.

This particular piece of petrified wood was found in Badger Creek in Ochoco, Oregon. Petrified wood is formed when wood settles and gets trapped in wet, mineral rich sediment. Because of this and the lack of oxygen, rather than rotting, minerals slowly begin to replace the cells of the wood. 

This ring is currently a size 8.25, but can be sized up.
